Bio:
Claire Albrecht is a Newcastle based poet and PhD student. She was the 2019 Emerging Writers Festival fellow at the State Library of Victoria, a 2020 Varuna ‘Writing Fire, Writing Drought’ fellow, and will be a resident at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation, New Mexico in 2021. Her debut chapbook “pinky swear” was published in 2018.
Cuplet is a monthly poetry event run by Claire Albrecht. It takes place every second Thursday of the month at The Beaumont, Hamilton. It features touring established poets as well as a curated section of local emerging writers.
Readers appear by invitation.

Cuplet Poetry teamed up with Made In Newcastle to present Cuplet #21, an auspicious and glorious night at Babylon Newcastle. Guests enjoyed a night of live poetry, drinks and sparkling conversation.
