Bio:
Michael Ellis is an artist working across several mediums including performance, sculpture, and illustration. His current focus is illustration, and is using this medium to tell stories and communicate ideas and feelings.
Made.In.Newcastle Project:
At the Top-Shelf Excellent Mid City Party, Michael conducted a projected live drawing session using an iPad and a projector looking at themes such as the effect of COVID on mental health, children and parents, the effect of isolation etc. Michael put it to the audience, by asking for scenes and characters to draw and respond to, in this way telling the story of both his and the participants experience of COVID.
